As part of the strategic project to promote, disseminate and replicate the best practices of the SGP, on September 10, 2024, the Decenta Public Foundation organized the first meeting to create and support a multi-stakeholder advisory group in Kokshetau. The meeting was attended by current grant recipients, competition participants, representatives of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs, the non-profit sector, a deputy of the regional maslikhat, as well as the National Coordinator of the GEF SGP.
During the meeting, the selected projects were presented, and plans were developed for the dissemination of the used sustainable practices and technologies in the field of reducing land degradation and mitigating the effects of climate change. Possible measures of financial and other support for such approaches were also discussed.
Similar meetings will be held in all target areas of the Seventh Operational Phase of the Small Grants Program of the Global Environment Facility in Kazakhstan.
